Hot water heat pumps
Hot water is often one of the biggest power users in a home. A heat pump works like a fridge in reverse: it pulls warmth out of the air and puts it into your water, so it uses much less electricity than a standard electric element. In our mild Northern Rivers climate, they work well year round.
Who it suits
You’re on off-peak hot water and want off it. We can move your hot water onto your normal supply with a timer. Your retailer looks after the meter side.
You’ve got solar. Set it to run in the middle of the day and it heats your water mostly from your own panels.
Your old system is on its last legs. Replacing it before it fails means you get to choose.
You’re off-grid or on acreage. A heat pump is easier on a battery bank than a big element. We’ll check it fits first.
It’s not for everyone. If your current system is newish and you use little hot water, we’ll say so.
What we do
We look at your setup, bill and solar, and recommend the right size. We do all the electrical work: a dedicated circuit, a timer or solar-hours setup, moving off off-peak, testing and your compliance certificate. A licensed plumber handles the water connections, so it’s all sorted in one go.
Rebates
Federal STCs and the NSW Energy Savings Scheme may reduce the price of an eligible heat pump when it replaces an existing system. We’ll confirm what applies in your quote.
