Federal battery discount
Eligible home batteries get an upfront discount through the Australian Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program. The amount depends on the size of the battery, and it comes off the price before you pay.

NSW virtual power plant (VPP) incentive
In NSW you may also get an incentive for connecting your battery to a virtual power plant. It applies to batteries from 2 to 50 kWh. The amount varies with the VPP provider and contract, so it's worth comparing offers. We can help you weigh them up.
Solar (STCs)
Small-scale technology certificates reduce the upfront cost of eligible solar systems. The discount is shown on your quote.
Every rebate we can find
Solar STCs (federal): an upfront discount on new solar up to 100 kW. From 1 Oct 2026, 100 kW to 1 MW can also qualify. It shrinks each year and ends after 2030.
Cheaper Home Batteries (federal): around 30% off an eligible 5 to 100 kWh battery. It steps down every 6 months (next on 1 Jan 2027). Works off-grid too.
NSW VPP incentive: a one-off payment when you join a grid-connected battery to a virtual power plant for at least 12 months.
NSW Batteries for businesses: a discount on business batteries from 20 kWh. NSW indicates about 30 to 40% off with new or extra solar, or 20 to 30% for battery only.
Large commercial solar over 1 MW: LGCs, earned on the power you generate.
$20,000 instant asset write-off: small businesses may be able to deduct eligible assets. Ask your accountant.
Heat pump STCs: for eligible heat pumps under 425 L.
NSW hot water upgrade (Energy Savings Scheme): a discount when a heat pump replaces an existing system.
NSW Home Energy Saver loan: a zero-interest loan of $2,000 to $15,000 through approved providers.
Federal green loans: lower-rate loans from participating lenders.
